An Introduction to:

UK Dividends on the Web

Exchange Data International’s UK Dividend service gives you immediate access to a comprehensive database of easily searchable dividend information.

The data is sourced from all the regulatory new services that exist in the UK and from shareholder circulars and is made available to our clients via a Web service. Because this is web-based service, users have greatly improved functionality, such as Ex, Record and/or Pay date searches and New Dividend Announcement reports.

The database is updated on a daily basis with all new dividend announcements, including updates to existing dividends. Having access to such timely information allows users to prioritize vital investment decisions quickly and efficiently via the internet.

Users can search the database via a host of criteria, ranging from Issuer Name to Sedol code. In addition, the user can produce detailed reports based on Ex, Record and/or Pay dates. The system also provides dividend announcement information on both Cash and Stock Option.

UK Dividends also allows the user to import a portfolio of stocks via a list of Sedol codes. A complete report will then be produced which can be exported into internal systems.

User Guide

Exchange Data International’s UK Dividends on the Web service provides the user with a powerful search tool. This user guide details all of the search options, functionality and screen layouts.

Below is a screenshot of the opening screen

This screen allows the user to search for securities via 5 criteria:

  • Issuer Name
  • Symbol
  • Sedol Code
  • ISIN Code
  • Global View or Portfolio View (please refer to page 6 for loading instructions)
  • Global View – Search entire UK Database for Dividends that match criteria
  • Portfolio View – Search users list of stocks for Dividends that match criteria

Once the user has submitted the search, UK Dividends will provide them with a list of Securities that match those criteria:

In the above search, a selection of Dividends for BAA has been displayed. The user can view the complete information for any dividend simply by clicking on the Sedol Code.

The Calendar facility allows the user to search for all Dividends that have an Ex, Record or Pay Date occurring on a particular date.

To view the complete details for any record, simply click on the Sedol code.

If the User wishes to search for Dividends that have recently been announced, they select the New Dividends (All) function.

This allows the user to select a date range, and UK Dividends will produce a report listing all Dividends that match the criteria

If the User wishes to view only those Dividends that have cash, the New Dividends (Options) function will automatically produce a list of all dividends announced over the past 30 days that have Options.
