Exchange Data International are pleased to announce the launch of their latest service -
Worldwide Dividends
There is an increased need for timely, accurate and complete information due to faster settlement deadlines, greater risk exposure and increased market consolidation. Exchange Data International (EDI) have devised a solution for those requiring Dividend information.
Worldwide Dividends has been developed in response to market forces and suggestions from clients. This service sources Dividend Announcements directly from over 150 exchanges on a daily basis. It aims to not only reduce the number
of different feeds needed, but to increase efficiency through the
reduction of staff time taken to process dividend information.
The Web-based interface allows the user to search for all new Dividend announcements (Cash or Stock) for any individual exchange or a group of exchanges, over a period of time, ranging from one day to one year. With such fields of information as: Ex, Record and Pay Dates, Pay Rates, Currency, Issuer Name, Security Description, Local, Sedol™ and ISIN codes, the user is able to access complete details on any given Dividend.
EDIs enhanced service can now offer a Portfolio Import Facility, which allows the user to load a Portfolio into the service via Sedol™, ISIN or Local code, and have a detailed Dividend report produced based upon those securities held within the portfolio. In addition, the end user can now have the added benefit of automatically being alerted to new dividends announced for their portfolio by receiving an e-mail in their in-box via EDIs E-mail Notification function.
The user can use additional search options ranging from Issuer Name to Local Code to find specific stocks. Additional search options allows date range searches on all Ex, Record and Pay dates that occur with in that date range.
An added feature is the ability to search for a Global Issuer Name. Many Issuers have securities listed on multiple exchanges, the majority under slightly different spellings, and the ability to match an Issuer to its globally recognized name has become vital in order to obtain the complete list of securities that the Issuer has issued.
Worldwide Dividends will help centralize a firms Dividend Operations, while reducing risk and saving both time and money. The data is also available as a data feed, to enable firms to populate mainframe systems and in-house security portfolios.
User Guide
Exchange Data Internationals Worldwide Dividends on the Web service provides the end user with a powerful search tool. This User guide details all of the search options, functionality and screen layouts.
Below is a screenshot of the opening screen.

The User can search for new Dividend announcements via several search
options:
Exchanges: Provides the User with a drop down
list of all the Exchanges covered in the service. By clicking on Exchange,
the user can select an individual Exchange, or by selecting the default
option (All Exchanges Selected), search on all Exchanges covered. The user
also has the option of searching on a group of selected exchanges
(please see page 8 for details).
Local Code: Allows the User to enter the Local
Exchange Code for a particular security.
Sedol™ Code: Allows the User to enter the Sedol™
Code for a particular security.
Isin/US Code: Allows the User to enter the
ISIN or US Code for a particular security.

globally recognised name of an Issuer, in order to generate a list of
securities for that Issuer (refer to Page 3 for a more detailed
explanation).
New Dividends from the Last: Allows the User
to specify both the time period and Dividend Type they wish to search on.
(This options only applies to an Exchange Search).
Once the User has defined their Search Criteria, and hit the Submit
Search button, the search results are generated:

Portfolio Manager
Worldwide Dividends allows the end user to import a Portfolio of securities. This enables the user to search for dividends on just those securities that they have an interest in.
Portfolios are loaded by Sedol™, ISIN or Local codes. List the codes in a text file (through Notepad for example) and specify the path in the Portfolio Operations Local File box. Portfolio Manager allows incremental updates. This means the user can load their main portfolio of stocks, and then simply add to that everyday by loading any new securities.
Note: Portfolio Manager can contain up to 10,000 securities. Users should only load 2000 securities at a time, as the Internet can timeout if larger numbers of loaded.
E-Mail Notification
Once the user has loaded their Portfolio, they have the option of entering an e-mail address (this can be a group e-mail address). This allows the user to receive e-mails directly into their in-box whenever a new dividend is announced.
Calendar Search
The Worldwide Dividends on the Web service also allows the User
to search on Ex, Record and Pay Dates, that are occurring on any day,
or during any date range:
