Mergent’s EventsData.com North
American corporate actions service is enhanced with international data from
London-based EDI
New York, NY August 25, 2005 – Mergent, Inc. announced today that its
EventsData.com North American corporate actions database service is integrating
comprehensive international data from London-based Exchange Data International
(EDI).
The combined EventsData.com International Corporate Actions and Events
service, will provide a global source for corporate actions and dividends –
North American and International – easily accessible within the same platform.
The new service is available through a Web-based application.
The new service, which is now available, is based on a partnership agreement
between the two firms.
Mergent, a Xinhua Finance (Tokyo Mothers: 9399) company, is the preferred

listed companies, indices and exchanges.
EventsData.com is a web-based solution that combines Mergent’s multiple
financial databases into a unified, easily managed data delivery system
covering corporate actions and events affecting both North American equities
and fixed income securities. The events/actions covered include mergers and
acquisitions, dividend announcements and distributions, consolidations, stock
splits, corporate name changes, leveraged acquisitions, bond calls,
redemptions, and a lot more. EventsData.com covers up to 10 years of
information on over 64,000 dividend-paying stocks, mutual funds, ADR’s, GDR’s,
and their underlying foreign shares.
EventsData.com utilizes Mergent’s first-source, highest-quality business
intelligence covering current and historical information, renowned data
gathering and processing, and advanced online technology to keep subscribers
informed throughout the day about important events as they take place.

The International Data
The EDI international corporate actions information included in the new
EventsData.com service will cover data from 135 international exchanges, with

international dividend announcements derive directly from over 130 exchanges on
a daily basis. With data sourced directly from all of the world’s major
stock exchanges, the International Corporate Actions and Dividends service
provides up-to-date and accurate equity-based corporate actions information.
Users now have the ability to select North American-only corporate actions and
dividends or select International events.
